The Kowloon Tiger
The Kowloon Tiger is a 35-seat neighborhood cocktail bar in Baner from the team behind Malaka Spice. Ilvika Chandawarkar, a second-generation restaurateur at Malaka Spice Hospitality Group, founded it with Prantik Haldar, her partner, who ran the bar at The Bombay Canteen. The idea grew from a trip to Hong Kong and Kyoto, where Bar Kawasaki became their go-to bar. The bar pays homage to Hong Kong's Kowloon Walled City, and Jungle Gym and architect Shefali Shetty designed neon-lit, alleyway-style rooms around an omakase-style counter. Every drink on Prantik's list is named for a character and is what that character would order, among them the Black Myth, made with Scotch, black sesame orgeat and ginger.
