The Sand Dollar opened as a blues bar on Spring Mountain Road in 1976 and hosted Muddy Waters, B.B. King and Mick Jagger before closing in 2007; it reopened in 2009 as The Sand Dollar Lounge. Live bands play every night, the cocktail list names its drinks after classic songs, and artisan pizza comes from its own kitchen. Each autumn and winter it runs the Nightmare and Miracle themed pop-up bars.
