Pare de Sufrir, Spanish for 'end your suffering', is a mezcal bar on Calle Argentina in Colonia Americana, and it calls itself a cultural center for music, mezcal and traditional drinks. The shelves hold more than 70 varieties of mezcal, including several bottles of pechuga, a style made with chicken breast. Pedro Jiménez, who founded the bar, is also behind Mezonte, an organization of mezcal producers, and the documentary Viva Mezcal. Music is central to the place, with guest acts and nights such as karaoke, and the bar's own tagline sums up the rest: stop suffering, drink mezcal.
