The building on Weberstrasse once belonged to a woodworker named Johannes Mack, and Holzmaler, the wood painter, joins that history to the feel of the 1920s. The drinks list is written as seven chapters, from the woodpainter's own story through the golden twenties, Prohibition, champagne and glamour, the house signatures, the spirits collection and modern classics, all mixed with selected spirits, fresh ingredients and craft. It opens at seven, Wednesday to Saturday, in the Leonhardsviertel, the quarter Stuttgart treats as its nightlife laboratory.
