Hinterland is an alcohol-free bar and plant-based cafe in the basement of the Manchester Buddhist Centre on Turner Street, in the Northern Quarter. Nothing on the list is alcoholic: cocktails are built with house syrups and bitters on non-alcoholic spirits, from a NoGroni to an espresso martini, with alcohol-free beer and wine alongside and loose-leaf tea and coffee until close. Run as a community interest company, the room hosts philosophy nights, poetry and music on most evenings.
