Amaretto ADRIATICO starts with a statement of intent: it is produced 100% with Italian IGP almonds from Puglia, shaped by a contemporary mindset and grounded in authentic Italian heritage. From day one, the goal was clear, rethink amaretto for today’s palate without losing the soul of what made it iconic.
We had the pleasure of meeting Jean Robert, co-founder of the brand, who shared how ADRIATICO was born from a genuine gap in the market. Growing up, his mother used amaretto in her tiramisù, a comforting, familiar flavour. Years later, in 2019, that memory turned into a question: why is amaretto always so sweet and not made from real almonds?
The answer became a product philosophy. ADRIATICO would be less sweet (with sugar levels reduced by 50%), more balanced, and subtly savoury. The signature touch? Sea salt from Margherita di Savoia, Puglia, one of Italy’s most historic salt pans, bringing structure and depth rather than sweetness overload. What began as a niche idea is now a brand exported to nearly 40 countries worldwide.
Premium by nature, Italian by definition
ADRIATICO is proudly 100% Made in Italy, using only Italian IGP almonds from Puglia and following all technical requirements of traditional liqueur production, while firmly positioning itself in the premium segment. The sustainable packaging mirrors the liquid inside: refined, thoughtful, and designed to elevate the consumer experience rather than simply decorate a shelf.

A range built for modern drinking
The ADRIATICO portfolio speaks clearly to bartenders and conscious consumers alike.
ADRIATICO Roasted Almonds (28% ABV) – a bold and gastronomic expression. Roasted almonds baked in a pizza oven, layered with Adriatic sea salt, cinnamon, coffee and cocoa infusion. Structured, savoury and unmistakably Italian.
ADRIATICO Bianco (16% ABV) – pure, boozy almond milk. Vegan, lactose-free, low ABV, and clean on the palate. A modern classic built for contemporary mixology.
Innovation also lives through Adriatico’s limited editions. The latest release sees the liquid finished in Plantaray Fiji Islands rum casks, adding tropical depth and complexity while maintaining the brand’s almond forward identity. Previous editions aged under the sea or in ex bourbon, rum and Bonollo grappa casks have cemented ADRIATICO’s reputation for meaningful experimentation.

Chocolate, culture and sweepstakes
Extending beyond the glass, ADRIATICO recently partnered with Goldkenn to create a limited-edition Swiss chocolate bar infused with Amaretto ADRIATICO. This collaboration celebrates craftsmanship across categories and offers a new sensory way to experience the brand an elegant sweepstake that reinforces ADRIATICO’s premium positioning and Italian soul.

A brand that backs the bar community
Amaretto ADRIATICO has become a trusted name in modern mixology, thanks not only to its liquid but to its active support of bartenders worldwide. Competitions, takeovers, guest shifts, events and masterclasses are all part of its DNA.
Following the success of earlier initiatives, the launch of Amaretto ADRIATICO Zero in 2025 marked another milestone. This premium non-alcoholic expression reflects the same quality standards as the alcoholic range. The Art of Zero Mocktail Competition is currently launching in Denmark, with a clear ambition to expand internationally in the near future signalling Adriatico’s long term commitment to the no- and low-alcohol movement.
Strong partnerships, global vision
Founded in 2019, ADRIATICO has moved fast. In the US, the brand is present in over ten states, with key cities including New York and Miami, and collaborations with iconic names such as Sant Ambroeus.
In Europe, Paris plays a central role through partnerships with Paris Society and Big Mamma. Looking ahead, ADRIATICO will soon be featured at Shakerato, the new Amsterdam concept by the founders of Handshake Mexico a collaboration that speaks volumes about the brand’s positioning within the global bar scene.
Looking forward
With expansion into China and the Middle East on the horizon and continued growth across the US and Europe, Amaretto ADRIATICO stands tall as a young brand that respects tradition while confidently shaping the future.
The full ADRIATICO range is available via the brand’s official website and, in selected markets, on Amazon. A new chapter for amaretto is being written rooted in Puglia, seasoned by the ADRIATICO, and designed for the world.
