World’s 50 Best Bars Reveals 51–100 List for 2025

The countdown to The World’s 50 Best Bars 2025, sponsored by Perrier, has officially begun with the release of the bars ranked 51–100. Revealed on 24 September, just ahead of the live awards ceremony on 8 October in Hong Kong, the extended list celebrates excellence in cocktail culture and global hospitality.

This year marks the ninth edition of the 51–100 list, compiled from the votes of over 800 independent experts, including bartenders, educators, drinks writers, and industry leaders. With 16 new entries spanning cities from Bangkok to Medellín, the list showcases both emerging destinations and returning favorites.

Highlights

The list covers 34 cities worldwide.

16 bars make their debut, including venues in New Delhi, Florence, Medellín, and Taichung.

The USA leads with 8 bars, across New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, and Miami.

Europe dominates with 15 entries, led by Spain and Italy with four each.

Asia secures 12 spots, with Hong Kong emerging as the regional leader for the first time since 2019.

Latin America expands, with Medellín and Taichung appearing for the first time.

North America

New York continues to shine, with four entries including new arrival Schmuck at No.59, alongside Attaboy (No.72), Martiny’s (No.75), and Employees Only (No.95). San Francisco’s True Laurel (No.64) and Los Angeles’ Mírate(No.93) debut, while Chicago’s Kumiko re-enters at No.97 and Miami’s Café La Trova sits at No.82. Canada is represented by Toronto’s Bar Pompette at No.55.

Latin America

Mexico features strongly with Licorería Limantour (No.52), Bar Mauro (No.54), Baltra Bar (No.78), El Gallo Altanero (No.71), and Arca (No.77). Colombia celebrates a milestone with Medellín’s first-ever appearances: Mamba Negra (No.81) and Bar Carmen (No.100). São Paulo’s Exímia enters at No.61, while Buenos Aires is home to Victor Audio Bar (No.87) and Florería Atlántico (No.90).

Europe

Spain boasts Angelita (No.51), Dr. Stravinsky (No.83), Boadas (No.85), and new entry Foco (No.89). Italy counters with Freni e Frizioni (No.58), Jerry Thomas Speakeasy (No.98), L’Antiquario (No.63), and Gucci Giardino in Florence (No.99). London claims three spots with 🔶🟥🔵 A Bar with Shapes For a Name (No.73), Kwãnt Mayfair (No.79), and newcomer Three Sheets Soho (No.80). Other highlights include Wax On (Berlin, No.57), Barro Negro (Athens, No.62), Bird (Copenhagen, No.66), and Tjoget (Stockholm, No.76).

Asia-Pacific

Hong Kong leads the region with Argo (No.56), new entry Gokan (No.70), and The Savory Project (No.86). Tokyo features with The SG Club (No.65) and Bar Trench (No.94), while Bangkok celebrates two debuts: Dry Wave Cocktail Studio (No.88) and Opium (No.92). Seoul’s Bar Cham lands at No.53, Sri Lanka’s Smoke & Bitters climbs to No.67, and Singapore’s Native returns at No.84. Taichung makes history with Vender (No.74), joined by New Delhi newcomer Lair (No.96).

Middle East & Africa

Dubai’s LPM rises to No.60, while Hero Bar in Nairobi climbs to No.69.

Australia

Melbourne’s Byrdi secures a place at No.91.
