Two of the world’s most celebrated bartenders—Lorenzo Antinori and Simone Caporale—are joining forces to launch Montana Bar, a Cuban-inspired cocktail destination set to open in Hong Kong in summer 2025. The project promises a vibrant blend of tradition, rhythm, and hospitality rooted in the golden age of Cuban mixology and infused with the sun-soaked energy of 1970s Miami.
Lorenzo Antinori, of Bar Leone in Hong Kong (No.2, The World’s 50 Best Bars 2024), and Simone Caporale, co-founder of Sips in Barcelona (No.3, The World’s 50 Best Bars 2024 and The World’s Best Bar 2023), bring a combined legacy of innovation, precision, and showmanship to the new venture. At Montana, they draw inspiration from Cuba’s Club de los Cantineros, the legendary bartenders’ guild known for classic cocktails like the Daiquiri, Mojito, and El Presidente.
“Montana isn’t about nostalgia—it’s about energy,” the duo says. “Music, movement, and memorable hospitality. A bar built on friendship, craft, and rhythm.”
With details still under wraps, the concept hints at storytelling-forward cocktails, classic execution with a creative edge, and a lively atmosphere reminiscent of Miami nightlife in its disco-era heyday. Guests can expect precise pours, tropical flavor, and the kind of heartfelt hospitality that defines both founders’ global careers.
Montana will open in Hong Kong, summer 2025.
