The impact of AI on mixology is a hot topic these days. We conducted an experiment: three drinks created and photographed by us and three with the same basic ingredients input into artificial intelligence, generating not only recipes but also cocktail images. Check out the results.
Re-Done Jameson
- 35 mL Jameson (1.2 oz)
- 20 mL Sour Apple Solution (0.7 oz)
- 15 mL ginger syrup (0.5 oz)
- 10 mL fermented cucumber distillate (0.3 oz)
- 3 mL 1:1 simple syrup
- 1 drop 20% saline solution
- Top with ginger ale
Method: Throw | Glass: long | Garnish: pickled apple
Fermented Cucumber Distillate:
- 700 mL vodka (24 oz)
- 100 g fermented cucumbers (3.5 oz)
Blend vodka and cucumbers in a Thermomix for 1 minute. Strain and pour into a container. Distill under low vacuum.
AI Twist Spicy Irish
- 60 mL Jameson (2 oz)
- 140 mL ginger ale (5 oz)
- 10 mL lime juice (0.3 oz)
- 2 green jalapeños
- 2 mint leaves

Nuts With Guts
- 40 mL gin fat-washed with walnut butter (1.4 oz)
- 20 mL raspberry juice (0.7 oz)
- 15 mL walnut syrup (0.5 oz)
- 5 mL raspberry vinegar (0.2 oz)
- 5 drops angelica root bitters
- 1 drop 20% saline solution

Walnut Syrup:
- 200 g walnuts (7 oz)
- 800 g water (28 oz)
- 5 g green cardamom (0.2 oz)
- 2.5 g salt (0.1 oz)
- 3 mL orange blossom water
Soak nuts overnight. Blend with water for nut milk. Reduce by half, add equal sugar, mix, cool, and bottle.
AI Twist – Raspberry Fusion
- 60 mL Amaretto (2 oz)
- 30 mL raspberry vodka (1 oz)
- 15 mL raspberry liqueur (0.5 oz)
- 30 mL raspberry puree (1 oz)
- 15 mL lemon juice (0.5 oz)
- 10 mL almond syrup (0.3 oz)
- A splash of water

Topi Wheel
- 40 mL cognac (1.4 oz)
- 20 mL sunchoke puree (0.7 oz)
- 20 mL supasawa (0.7 oz)
- 20 mL mandarin liqueur (0.7 oz)
- 5 mL thyme syrup (0.2 oz)
- 2 dashes orange bitters
- 1 drop 20% saline solution
Method: Shake/strain | Glass: old fashioned | Garnish: mushroom chip
Thyme Syrup:
- 1 L simple syrup (34 oz)
- 5 g lactic acid (0.18 oz)
- 5 g citric acid (0.18 oz)
- 2.5 g salt (0.1 oz)
- 10 g rascal (0.35 oz)
Mix all ingredients, sous vide at 61.4°C (142.5°F) for 2 hours, then strain.
AI Twist Orange Barrel
- 40 mL brandy (1.4 oz)
- 20 mL cognac (0.7 oz)
- 15 mL orange liqueur (0.5 oz)
- 30 mL chestnut puree (1 oz)
- 15 mL lemon juice (0.5 oz)
- 10 mL simple syrup (0.3 oz)
